Eye Health Exam
Your eye health exam will start with a Pre-screening which provides a baseline assessment of your eyes. The pre-screen typically includes auto-refraction, eye pressure measurement, and retinal imaging (optional). This will be completed by Laura, our experienced eye care technician, who will talk you through the whole process. Dr. Verma will then complete a Visual Acuity Test to determine an accurate prescription for glasses, an Eye Health Check to evaluate the structures of your eyes, and discuss any questions that you may have. This portion of the exam may include a Retinal Exam, which may require eye drops to dilate your eyes.
Contact Lens Fitting
During the Contact Lens Fitting, Dr. Verma will ensure that the contacts being fitted will provide optimal vision and comfort. Dr. Verma will discuss your options for soft contact lenses, check to make sure you are seeing your best, and directly examine the contacts to determine if the size and movement of the contact lens is right for your eyes.
Retinal Imaging
Our office is excited to offer Optomap, which is a scanning laser technology that takes an image of the retina. The machine is fast, painless, and can capture 80% view of your retina in less than a few seconds. During the scan, you will see a flash of light to let you know the image of your retina has been taken. Dr. Verma will review the images with you during your exam and reference the images to monitor your eyes for any changes from year to year.
